Unlocking insight within a global supply chain
For large organisations, understanding the full makeup of their supply chain is not always straightforward.
After making a connection at one of MSDUK events, DataGardener struck a partnership with a corporate organisation, seeking to better identify underrepresented suppliers within their extensive global network.
Using its platform and data capabilities, DataGardener helped analyse supplier data at scale, bringing greater transparency to an area that is often difficult to measure accurately. The outcome was a clearer picture of inclusive procurement across the organisation.
Through this work, the corporate identified over 100 suppliers that were minority-owned or B Corp certified. This insight supported ongoing efforts to strengthen inclusion across their supply chain and build on existing commitments.
For DataGardener, the project demonstrated how data can play a practical role in driving change.
The collaboration also reflects a broader reality of working with large corporates. Building these relationships takes time, persistence and the ability to engage with the right stakeholders. Once established, however, they can create opportunities for long-term impact.
