How Pressure Point Helped JCB Win the Princess Royal Training Award




One of MSDUK’s recent joiner’s pressure point (a leading company specialising in human potential development) played a crucial role in helping JCB win the coveted Princess Royal Training Award for their Cornerstone programme. This programme was designed to improve the mental toughness, resilience, and long-term success of JCB’s Parts and Service (which includes After Sales) Division.



Designing a Tailored Programme

In order to ensure the programme met JCB’s unique needs, pressure point collaborated closely with the company to design a tailored programme. A team of experts with the right knowledge, business insight, and experience was assembled to deliver the programme over a 10-month period. The programme consisted of 7 modules, one-on-one coaching sessions, and the completion of the Mental Toughness Questionnaire.



Keeping it Fresh and Exciting

Pressure point was determined to make the Cornerstone programme engaging and exciting for the delegates. In close collaboration with the client, the programme closely supported their development with the client inspired to create pre-work activities, podcasts, online tutorials, and even two workshops that gave delegates the opportunity to visit world-class sporting venues. This added an extra layer of excitement and helped connect mental toughness with the world of sports.



Record-Breaking Results

The Cornerstone programme was an outstanding success and led to record-breaking sales for JCB. The increased confidence and determination of the after-sales participants, combined with a deeper understanding of their colleagues, created a more harmonious and high-performing team. The delegates also strengthened partnerships with stakeholders and were more effective in capitalising on commercial opportunities, resulting in promotions for many of them. The programme has been calculated to give an ROI of 8 times the investment.
