The MSDUK Innovation Challenge 2023 concluded at the MSDUK Business and Innovation Show 2023 in London on September 14th, celebrating the remarkable innovations of this year’s finalists. The MSDUK Innovation Challenge 2023 champions non-white ethnic minority entrepreneurs from the UK to showcase their unique, innovative, and ground-breaking products and services to our network of global corporates and supplier diversity advocates. The competition witnessed the participation of 11 outstanding finalists with four categories: Digital Transformations, Social Impact, Innovation Pioneers, and Sustainable Development, all dedicated to advancing a better world through innovative ideas. The event was a testament to the power of innovation and its potential to shape our future.
After an electrifying and truly remarkable round of pitches by our finalists, it is with great excitement that we reveal the Category Winners and Overall Winner of the MSDUK Innovation Challenge 2023:

Digital Transformations Category sponsored by Ernst & Young:
In the Digital Transformations category, Dr. Dupe Burgess, representing Bloomful, emerged as the Category Winner. During her time working with the NHS, Dr. Burgess personally witnessed the obstacles that women encountered when trying to access high-quality care for their gynaecological health issues. Fuelled by her determination to find a solution, Bloomful, a cutting-edge AI-powered triage solution, is designed to empower women in accessing superior care for their gynaecological health.
Dr. Burgess not only highlighted her remarkable skills in the realm of digital innovation but also illustrated how Bloomful possesses the capability to significantly improve the lives of women across the globe. Consequently, her outstanding performance across all categories led to her well-deserved recognition as the Overall Winner. She was awarded £20,000 cash prize, a digital Out-of-Home advertising campaign in partnership with JCDecaux, corporate 1-2-1 mentoring, and gain a one-year free membership to MSDUK. Dr. Burgess stands as a shining example of the genuine essence of innovation and its profound impact on our world.
Social Impact Category sponsored by GSK:
The Social Impact category celebrated innovations with the potential to bring about meaningful change in society. Andre Hallack and Yun Bing, the brilliant minds behind Beautiful Voice, impressed the judges with their business’s potential to make a real difference in people’s lives and became the Category Winner. Beautiful Voice is an AI digital health platform modernising speech and language therapy delivery and making high-quality speech and language therapy more accessible, efficient, and data-driven for patients, speech and language therapists, and caregivers. Their commitment to creating a positive social impact is an inspiration to us all.

Dr. Youmna Mouhamad, representing Nyfasi, was awarded as the Category Winner in the Innovation Pioneers category. Her visionary approach to innovation proved to be ground-breaking and forward-thinking. Nyfasi’s technology enables the application and distribution of consumables while detangling.
