After a full day of pitches from Innovation Challenge entrants our judges narrowed down our semi-finalists to 13 finalists. Their innovations cover an enormous spectrum of sectors ranging from space technology to portable dishwashers.

This years applicants are based across the UK including Manchester, Leicester, London, Edinburgh, Strathclyde and Hatfield. In addition, a respectable 31% are female founders.

Our finalists also come from a wide spread of ethnic backgrounds. These include Pakistani, Indian, Caribbean, African, Chinese and Asian.

Judges for this year’s Challenge include a variety of industry and academia. In addition, Cummins, Johnson & Johnson, Accenture, EY and Digital Catapult.

The final of the Innovation Challenge 2019 will take place at the MSDUK 2019 Conference & Awards in London on the 17^th September.
