Etiq AI is a technology company that provides a platform to help businesses ensure the robustness and ethical use of their AI algorithms. Their solution allows companies to test their data quality, monitor prediction issues and minimise unintended bias that may affect the algorithm’s outcomes. By offering visibility and automated checks, Etiq AI helps businesses build trust in their AI models, ultimately enhancing their decision-making processes.
The co-founder of Etiq AI, Iris Anson, comes from the finance background but has always been intrigued by the potential of AI. With a career in financial services and a previous tech startup, Iris joined the Zinc VC programme, which focuses on impact-driven ventures. It was during this programme that Iris connected with her co-founder, a data scientist, and together they embarked on the journey of addressing the challenges and risks associated with AI.
Etiq AI was founded over four years ago to mitigate the risks and unintended consequences of AI algorithms. They recognised that while AI can bring numerous benefits, it also carries potential issues and uncertainties that can impact businesses and individuals, especially while AI is in production and its performance would evolve in a dynamic environment. Today, Etiq AI is in the scaling-up stage, having secured funding rounds and gained a diverse range of clients, from startups to large corporations.
Etiq AI’s innovative solution is a testing platform designed to help businesses detect data quality and model issues, risks and address unintended biases in their AI models. The platform offers automated checks at various stages, including data input and model output, to ensure that AI-driven decisions are accurate, fair and aligned with the intended objectives. What sets them apart is its user-friendly design, making it accessible even to non-technical users. Unlike clunky open-source alternatives, Etiq AI’s platform provides customisation options and can be tailored to specific business needs.
The company has achieved several significant milestones; one notable success is its growing client base, consisting of both small teams and large corporations. By democratising access to its platform and offering tiered pricing, Etiq AI has made AI testing accessible to businesses of all sizes. They take pride in supporting startups and fostering innovation by providing easy-to-use testing tools during the early stages of AI development.
