MSDUK Certified Supplier Micro-Fresh seals the deal with Josephine Laundry in China

ByronMicro-Fresh director, Byron Dixon, travelled to Shanghai, China in April 2014 to promote ‘fresher living’ where he sealed the deal with Josephine Laundry Co. Ltd.

Founded in 2005, Josephine have over 500 stores located across China in cities such as; Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Ningbo and Guangzhou and are on a mission to ‘provide quality laundry service’.

A meeting was arranged with the CEO of Josephine, Mr Huang, where even though Byron doesn’t speak any Mandarin and Mr. Huang any English, language was not a barrier as they were both speaking the language of Micro-Fresh! (With the help of our China agent of course!)

All Josephine stores across Shanghai now offer the service of having clothes dry cleaned and/or laundered with a Micro-Fresh additive to ensure that customer garments are free from contamination and to prevent the growth of pathogenic and odour-causing bacteria – leaving customers feeling fresher for longer! Wait, there’s more – Josephine’s also sell in-store Micro-Fresh retail bottles that customers can purchase and use at their own leisure in their own homes!

Currently, Josephine are the only laundry chain brand using Micro-Fresh in the dry cleaning industry in Shanghai. Each store has been given an Official Micro-Fresh Certification of Authorization to show the authenticity of Micro-Fresh products. Mr. Huang stated ‘’I feel Micro-Fresh complements Josephine’s Values to improve people’s quality of life and working together we can accomplish this mission.’’

Don’t miss the MSDUK 2014 Conference

With a lot of things going on at MSDUK, a few changes afoot and lots of events taking place, it is safe to say that we are most excited about our flagship event making it’s return…the MSDUK 2014 Conference on October 16th 2014 at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London.

This biennial event brings together the entire MSDUK network of corporate members, ethnic minority businesses, MP’s and policy makers, and delegations from across the globe including the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

For those that attended the MSDUK conference in 2012, I’m sure you will agree that it was a fantastic event.  We received some great feedback last time and we hope to build on that and create an even better event for 2014.  See some of the great feedback from 2012 below:

For those who haven’t been to our conference before, it is made up of 3 key events – Business Opportunity Fair, Knowledge Forum and our glittering Awards Dinner.

The Business Opportunity Fair is an exhibition giving you the chance to showcase what your business has to offer.  This 3 hour exhibition will see over 250 attendees and is a great place to network and find new opportunities.

The knowledge forum offers you the chance to get involved in debate and hear from a great panel of high profile speakers on various topics about supplier diversity and business issues.  We are pleased to announce that the facilitator for the 2014 Knowledge Forum will be Kamal Ahmed, BBC Business Editor.

Finally, the conference day will end with our black tie Awards Dinner, which this year will be hosted by Hollywood actor David Harewood MBE.  David is probably best known for playing David Estes, the Deputy Director of the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center, in the Showtime series Homeland, and we know will be a great host for the evening.

The Awards dinner will be attended by over 300 delegates and is sure to provide entertainment, great food and to celebrate success within the network!

Also, new for 2014, MSDUK is excited to announce that in addition to the 2014 Conference, we will be hosting International Supplier Diversity Week!

From Monday 13th October we will be running a range of events including an International matchmaker, a CPO roundtable in partnership with Procurement Leaders, a Supplier Diversity policy summit at the House of Lords, and drinks reception at the House of Commons, and the hosting of the Billion Dollar Roundtable Group from the US.  This outstanding week will end on a high with the MSDUK Conference, and so I’m sure you will agree this is a huge event not to miss out on.

Please visit our conference website for more information. Make sure the date is in your diary and we will update you with more information over the coming months!
