Comments from the Chairperson
Sara Todd, Executive Director at Merck Sharpe & Dohme (MSD) Ltd took over as the new Chair of the MSDUK Board of Directors from 1st January 2010; she replaces Garry Clancy who leaves the post after 3 and 1/2 years.
Here is what Sara has to say about her new role and her vision for MSDUK:
"I am delighted to accept the appointment. In 2009 MSDUK recruited 7 new corporate members and helped EMBs to win c£6M of contracts in a very tough economic climate.
The organisation has established itself as the leading supplier diversity organisation in the UK and has extensively tested its model of linking EMBs and buyers. It is now time to accelerate all our efforts; accelerate procurement opportunities, accelerate embedding supplier diversity within the wider organisations and accelerate the business that corporations do with EMBs. I am very much looking forward to helping Mayank and his team achieve even greater success.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage corporate & minority owned businesses to contact us at MSDUK. Leverage our expertise, leverage our corporate and minority business networks, and join us to accelerate supplier diversity agenda in the UK."
