Terms and conditions for Data Protection

Under the Data Protection Act, we understand that Minority Supplier Development UK (“MSDUK”) need our explicit agreement for MSDUK to process and pass on our personal information (including sensitive personal information) in the manner and for the purposes described in MSDUK Terms and Conditions of certification [as set out below]. [By clicking  below] we confirm that we have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of the certification process, that we agree to give our consent to the processing and passing of our information (including sensitive personal information) in the manner and for the purposes described below and in the guidance notes and that all the information we have given above is correct to the best of our knowledge.

By signing the application form attached, we also confirm that any individual information provided in the application has been provided pursuant to the Data Protection Act and therefore with the consent of such individual.

Information collection statement

We understand that MSDUK aims to provide a direct link between its corporate members and minority businesses physically located in the UK and it intends to fulfil all its obligations under all Data Protection legislation in force in England and Wales from time to time. If we believe that any personal information that MSDUK holds about us is incorrect or incomplete, we will contact MSDUK immediately.

By applying for self certification and by clicking the page, we will have been deemed to have consented to MSDUK using our information for the purposes of processing the self certification or for the purposes of full certification (whether accepted or denied) and for providing our details to the MSDUK corporate members and to processing sensitive personal data about us (e.g. ethnic origin) where necessary. We understand that our refusal of processing our personal sensitive data will mean that our application cannot be processes by MSDUK.

We understand and agree that MSDUK may use any information that we provide for the purpose of MSDUK keeping us informed of business opportunities, future contracts, seminars and future events that MSDUK believes may be of interest to us. This information will also be available on MBR, which will be accessible by all MSDUK corporate members searching for suitable suppliers. This information may also be sent to us by MSDUK by mail, telephone, SMS, fax or e-mail. If we do not wish to receive such information we shall inform MSDUK immediately.  Furthermore, if at any time in the future, we wish to stop receiving such information from MSUDK, we shall then please contact Administrator on 0116 254 2500, by e-mail at diversity@msduk.org.uk or by post to the Administrator, 4th Floor, Hearts of Oak House, 9 Princess Road West, Leicester LE1 6TH.

Equal Opportunities Monitoring

We understand that MSDUK is keen to know how successful its efforts are amongst different ethnic groups and other minorities. We agree that any information we provide can be used by MSDUK for statistical purposes.

We also understand that MSDUK shall not to process our information in any manner incompatible with these purposes nor disclose this information to any third party other than in accordance with these purposes, without our consent, unless obliged by law to do so. By returning signing this application form, we consent to MSDUK processing our personal data (including our sensitive personal data) for the above purposes. We also consent to MSDUK transferring our information outside of the EEA to countries which do not provide the same level of data protection as the UK, if necessary for the above purposes. If MSDUK does make such a transfer, MSDUK will put a contract in place to ensure that your information is protected.
